During the period when Gerald Genta operated his own eponymous watch company, there were many variations of the Octo line, including for example, the Octo Biretro, Octo Chrono Quattro, Octo 48-Month Perpetual Calendar and others.

Perhaps Mrs. Genta presumed (unfairly) that everyone would be familiar with this history. Unlike Bvlgari's versions, Genta's Octos were very rare to see in the wild.
