-- model 126200 -- with the 3235 movement, 70 hours of power reserve, and recommended ten-year service intervals. It may be my favorite watch, simply because it does what a good watch is supposed to do -- tell time accurately -- and it does so calmly, unobtrusively, and comfortably. Among other watches, I have three other Rolexes: a 39mm Explorer, a 39mm Oyster Perpetual, and a two-tone Datejust from 1987, which belonged to my late father and which I had serviced by RSC in New York. This Datejust wears a bit differently, at first, from the 39 mm watches, but that visual difference disappears quickly and the watch seems perfect on my wrist on second look. I have a fairly flat 7 inch wrist and have long preferred watches in the 36-39 mm range; this one is substantial without being cumbersome, distinctive, and beautifully made. The 36mm Datejust has been around a long time, for good reason. This newest iteration is as good a watch as I ever hope to own.
