Limited Edition of 500 Pieces

Breitling is now the Official Timekeeper of Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates. To celebrate this partnership, Breitling has introduced this version of the Aviator 8 in black steel. Co-designed by Etihad Airways and Breitling, it is the watchmaker's first dial featuring the Arabic language.

Robin Kamark, Chief Commercial Officer, Etihad Aviation Group, said: "As one of the world's most innovative and punctual airlines, we are proud to mark the launch of this great partnership between two leading brands who are world renowned for style, quality and precision. To mark our collaboration with Breitling as Etihad's Official Timekeeper, we have introduced the Aviator 8 Etihad Limited Edition, reflecting our Arabian heritage, age-old traditions and focus on the future. We are confident it will be popular among customers and watch collectors."

Speaking at the launch event in New York, Tim Sayler, Breitling's Chief Marketing Officer, said, "Etihad Airways and Breitling are united by a passion for aviation, as well as by their steadfast commitment to quality and precision."



Technical Specifications:
The case, in stainless steel black DLC, measures 41mm x 10.7mm. It has a convex AR-coated sapphire crystal and it is water resistant to 100 meters.

Movement is the Swiss automatic Breitling caliber 17 with 25 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 40 hours. It is COSC-certified as a chronometer.

The black dial features Arabic language numbers in gold with matching luminous gold hands.

It comes on a black calfskin strap with contrast white stitching and a steel buckle.

MSRP is $4,995. Available in early 2020.
