Here's a link to an excellent overview. Thu, 29 August 2019 07:03 Go to previous messageGo to previous message

Avasthi A, Ghosh A, Sarkar S, Grover S. Ethics in medical research: General principles with special reference to psychiatry research. Indian J Psychiatry. 2013;55(1):8691. doi:10.4103/0019-5545.105525

Although written for psychiatric researchers, it offers a clear and broad explanation of the spectrum of issues and how to address them. I tried to give you a link to the IRB documents from the university where I'm on the faculty, but it's not accessible to the public. Here's a link to the documents that form the basis for ethical research around the world, along with several articles that expand on them.

There is no pleasure worth forgoing for an extra three years in the geriatric ward.
