I never quite liked the Excel version, but the regular is perfect for me. I tried the Gilette's Mach 3 and Fusion, but they're overkill for me and give me a rougher shave. I went down the "wet shaving" rabbit hole a few years ago, but could never get the hang of old-fashioned double edge razors. I gave it a good try, but it didn't work out. I still use a brush and creams/soaps and I'm quite happy with the Sensor and wet-shaving technique. I even grabbed a few nice aftermarket handles for the Sensor (hard to find now) to keep in reserve for a nicer shaving experience.
