In 2005 we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of Wilsdorf and Davis, the company that three years later would become Rolex. So, this seems the best of times to launch a forum celebrating the watches made by those two companies.
In this forum we feature on watches from the earliest days of the company up until the introduction of the sapphire glass watches. We will not differentiate between the early pre WWII watches such as the Prince, the Bubbleback or the Rebberg or the later 50s, 60s & 70s sports models such as the GMT, Explorer or Submariner; all are equally welcome here. To discuss sapphire glass-era Rolex, please visit the modern Rolex Forum. You may also want to view the Rolex FAQ or the TimeZone Rolex Resources before posting, as these may answer your questions.
When posting in this forum, please observe the TimeZone Guidelines, and these rules:
Be courteous and treat other forum participants with respect. Please do not discuss dealers, auctions, or net prices paid, and do not post links to websites where watches or related goods are offered for sale. Do not post direct or indirect for sale, want to buy or want to trade messages.
