Habring2 Tourbillon 3D - reborn Sat, 23 November 2019 16:32

I thought you might like to see my Habring2 Tourbillon 3D coming back together after a service and fitting of custom movement plates in Völkermarkt.

Here is the original which Richard and Maria built for me about 10 years ago. The plan was to create something reminiscent of a marine chronometer, high precision but not fancy.

About 7 years ago I discussed the idea of having custom plates, more Habring2 and less Unitas. Nothing happened until I had an email out of the blue from Richard, "if you are still interested I have some good news for you"!

Here it is, new frosted gold plates and hand blued screws (Richards photo).

I still have a decision to make though, stick with the original dial ring, or go for a new one as used on the Repeater. What do you think?
