Royal Oak B-Series Sat, 23 November 2019 00:05 Go to next message

On a recent trip to the NYC boutique, I was advised that AP had future plans to produce replacement links and parts for vintage Royal Oaks for restoration projects.
Has anyone heard or know if this has or is taking place? I am in need of and have been searching for replacement links with negative results.
Thanks for your help and enjoy the upcoming holidays!

UPDATE - Hello Bob, I did receive this from APNA >>>>> Tue, 26 November 2019 11:04 Go to previous message

This is the oficial communication...............

"The 5402 is the first Royal Oak produced and is an iconic reference. In order to preserve the integrity of this reference, our Manufacture is planning a Restoration Project for our 5402s. Currently, we are re-producing the original components for these timepieces. We anticipate that all components will be available by the fourth quarter of 2019/ first quarter of 2020.

At this time, no components are available for this reference. Once the components are available, we will contact you in order to coordinate the service and restoration of your timepiece."

It is advised to contact APNA Client Care directly or pass to your nearest AP Boutique where they will require additional information.

It is also important to note that for this restoration initiative, they will not sell spare parts, including links.

I hope this helps & good luck.
