On straight and curved spring bars >>> Sun, 03 November 2019 04:47 Go to next message

Friends,

I wanted to try a new strap on my Master Control. I knew the watch had curved spring bars and that JLC straps had a slight curve at the lug end. Most other straps have straight ends for straight spring bars.

So I wondered if I could use any other strap - and if I had to put straight spring bars in the watch.

The watchmaker at the AD said that I could use any strap with the curved spring bars. He would simply push the end of the strap with a finger or on the edge of a table...

... and the curved spring bar would slip right through.

And that did work. Here's my Master Control with the new strap with straight ends and a curved spring bar:

Thanks for looking :-)
N.
