Setting time on Journe CB/CS Sun, 15 September 2019 03:43 Go to next message

Hi,

For the owners of CB/CS, I have a question. Is setting time on the CB/CS (moving the crown in the clockwise direction) supposed to be buttery smooth or is it supposed to feel as if gears are clicking/there is slight friction? The watch otherwise keeps -2 secs/day. Winding the watch is also smooth and there is no issue in time setting either. It's just that setting time feels like you are still winding the watch, albeit more refined. I hope I am able to convey the feeling.

The watch has been with me for a year and has been worn sparingly. I just noticed it and it may have been there since the beginning. The boutique advised to send the watch in for service under warranty and it will be sent to Geneva. Before sending it away for few weeks, I wanted to check with other owners on the forum. Thank you.

On both my CS and CB it was smooth (at least to me). I did not sense or detect any of what you are describing.

Setting the time in either direction should feel buttery smooth. Check if you are pulling the crown out completely and then rotate it back and forth a few times in either direction. If you are still having the same issue I'd bring to a boutique to have them check it out.
