Limited edition of only 28 pieces is this Jaquet Droz La Chaux-de-Fonds Equation of Time. The production number of the watch being offered is in single digits. Sticker price is $47800. 18K white gold case,bezel and buckle. Alligator leather strap. The rare complication "equation of time" shows the difference between the time displayed by the sun(as in a sundial) and the time displayed by a modern clock. In this watch it is displayed from the 9 o'clock marker around to the 3 o'clock marker. The other two subdials being date and month. Jaquet Droz designs tend toward a minimalistic design, and this piece is no exception with its monolithic gray dial and simple dot hour markers. Watch is in great original condition and keeping accurate time. A very unique, hard to find and no longer produced work of art. Even the wooden box is non-traditional design. Stylus included.
