My first Panerai Wed, 04 May 2016 21:50 Go to next message

I've been a collector of new and vintage watches for 20+ years, but just got my first Panerai--a 448. I saw the 448 and 449 at the end of 2012, and thought they were fantastic. What I really liked about the 448 was the totally plain dial--no text, no logo...the perfect "no-name" watch. I also really liked the blued hands. Unfortunately, I was unable to secure one through the boutiques. Fast forward to last week, and I was able to get one, BNIB. A few wrist shots below.

Fortunately, when I had my shirts made, I had them make the left cuff large enough to accommodate big watches :-)

A new watch is like a new mistress, demanding all your time...

Big congrats and it looks great. Love the comment about the no-name watch. Nice and simple are my favorite Pams.

Cheers,
