Restored Omega Seamaster Calendar

I wanted to give my wife a watch that she could enjoy while doing her equestrian activities and that I could use a bit of watch know-how to make that happen. I knew an old omega would fit the bill.
I spotted a rough looking CK 2757 seamaster calendar from the mid 1950s on ebay for a very low price. It didn't run, the dial was a half-redial, lots of scratches everywhere and it came on a filthy expandable bracelet but the case had not been overpolished, the lugs have nice bevels on them.
I sent it off to the Omega facility in New Jersey who then sent it to Bienne for a full service and redial. I could not be happier with the results. It came back with a bag of replaced parts, no radium on the watch anywhere. They respected my request about not over-polishing the case so that the "seamaster" and "waterproof" inscriptions remain on the case back, as well as proiding the correct cloverleaf crown. I think they did a first rate job on the redial. I put it on a waterproof Kodiak strap from TC Straps. And now my wife has a new-looking vintage watch she can wear on the dressage field and if anything happens we can get it serviced again at Bienne. If the watch had been in pristine original condition I would not have bought it for this purpose. I will be taking it down to Wellington FL to give to her shortly.
