IMO 2 main reasons: lack of availability and Instagram Tue, 08 January 2019 19:23 Go to previous messageGo to previous message

I've been a lurker/poster since 2002/2003 and the decline in posts is palpable. I think there are many reasons, but there are two main ones IMO.

1. The lack of availability of SS models has put most desirable models out of reach for the enthusiasts here, either because they cost too much in the grey market or they are simply unavailable. There's not much to post about if you can't get your hands on them.

2. In my early days here, part of the joy of coming here was to look at pictures of watches -- lots of lovely macros and location shots. Now, I can get all that on Instagram.

I still come here for technical discussions and substantive posts, but not as often as before.
