New Model--Hublot Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Orlinski Mon, 11 December 2017 13:16 Go to previous message

Yup, Hublot loves art for the second time in a couple of weeks.

This time, they have partnered with Richard Orlinski, a highly regarded French Contemporary artist specializing in Pop-Art style beasts whimsically constructed of geometric facets. They range from crocodiles in the Miami Design District to a "Wild Kong" in Cannes and a 5 meter tall bear in Courchevale.

His Wild Kong paid a visit to the Miami Boutique for the unveiling

As did the artist accompanied by one of his bears

And his "mini-Kong" joined in as well

As for the watch, he brought his styling down to wrist size with this 45mm LE Aerofusion. Note how the entire watch is covered with his signature geometric facets. Aside from the dial and crown--and of course the iconically mis-aligned bezel screws--, there isn't a round surface to be had. Even the hands and markers reflect the theme.
