All of what you say!!! This is when one is at the mercy of relying on absolute trust where one cannot know who you are dealing with. I phoned swatch service centre and they said that there are no guarantees that they can do it, all pending on the availability of parts ( especially circuits etc) as it is sent to Switzerland.
Hopefully the image of the timepiece has come through from my worst friend -photobucket. It is very light and my late dad bought it for this reason and also missing his square 1920's omega that was lost during WW2 when escaping from being bombed. At the moment I have found a myota mvt which lines up with the date window and the stem which I could use until a solution is found. Not ideal but at least it can act as a proxy I am currently still in the process if elimination of getting a thicker seal. Many thanks for your input
