I am going to look at 2 watches today, #1 is pre owned with box and papers and it is more than 2 yers since it was first bought so it will be out of Pateks warranty, but it may not have any service history so I am at risk if something goes wrong I am on the hook for sending back to Patek for repair. #2 is advertised as new in box so if the papers have not been sent to Patek can a non AD complete the notification to Patek to initiate any warranty or am I in the same situation as #1? Any guidance on what to look for on a 5712?
