I have a 5167 Mon, 13 March 2017 10:10 Go to previous message

I wear it almost every day unless I wear my 5711 or a dress watch.

I have worn my 5167 for a while now.

Yes I have some small marks on the bezel and side of the case and I really don't mind at all.

The watch when pristine is very nice but the marks I have collected don't detract from the looks at all. on the contrary - My watch looks more loved and worn.

I will only have May watch polished when it goes in for a full service .. I also don't intend to do that too often.

I have worn my watch on holiday, in a very hot climate, and on holiday in freezing temperatures .. No problems found on either.

I scuba dive a lot and have worn my 5167 on a few dives when I found I didn't have my divers watch with me (I did have my dive computer).

I have collected most of my little "dings" doing that but still my watch looks magnificent.

Don't worry about your watch looking lived in .. It only shows that you love your watch and want to wear it like I do as a Daily beater.

Only one word of warning ... when you get your 5167 don't have the strap cut too short at the start. Leave it looser than you would normally and when you have worn it in different temperatures then decide if you want the strap shortened or not. it only takes a very few moments to do but once cut short that's the maximum size you'll get ... Unless you buy a new strap.
