Re: Actually, if these are the only watches Pontet-Canet has...

Many thanks to all for the kind posts and advice.
These are indeed my only two watches. I have been interested in watches for a while - but I never really bought anything, apart from books on horology.
In the end, I decided to buy these two pieces. I still need to buy a beater watch for everyday wear - but we can ignore that for present purposes.
I have been considering whether there is any realistic way to improve the collection, e.g. by buying a Zeitwerk or tourbillon. There are tons of fantastic pieces available, but I do wonder (as others have wondered) whether the overall aesthetic merit of my collection would be improved by adding more watches.
I suspect that the answer to this question depends, to a significant extent, on one's conception of what makes a watch collection good. Does a serious collection need to include all of the most important complications? Does a serious collection need to include a piece from every important line of watches produced by one's favourite brand? Or can a collection be complete with just a Lange 1 and a Datograph in rose gold and platinum respectively?
