Live Pre-SIHH 2016: Cartier Sneak Peek Fri, 04 December 2015 21:48 Go to previous message

A few live sneak peek photos ahead of SIHH 2016:

Clé de Cartier Automatic Skeleton

The Clé de Cartier Automatic Skeleton is Cartier's first skeleton watch with an automatic movement. This technical feat features the Caliber 9621 MC with skeletonized bridges that form the Roman numerals. The 41mm case is crafted in palladium with a blue sapphire key crown. Price is $61,000.

Crash Skeleton

Originally created in 1967, the Crash Skeleton revives the legendary Crash in pink gold. The 18-carat pink gold case measures 28.15 mm x 45.32 mm and the crown is fitted with a blue sapphire cabochon. The Crash Skeleton houses the manual wind Caliber 9618 movement with skeletonized bridges that form the Roman numerals on the asymmetrical rose gold dial. Typical of previous Crash edition, this will be released in a very limited series. Price is $68,500.

Rotonde de Cartier Earth & Moon

The Rotonde de Cartier Earth and Moon is a sophisticated timepiece with a tourbillon, second timezone and on-demand moon phase decorated with meteorite. The 47mm 18-carat pink gold case frames a dial partially decorated with meteorite, and partially decorated with an 18-carat white gold grid that forms exploding Roman numerals. Sword-shaped hands in blued steel indicate the home time on a meteorite dial; a second time zone is indicated in an openwork arch that frames the home time. The pusher at 2 o'clock sets the second timezone. The pusher at 4 o'clock activates the moon phase on-demand. Price is $235,000.

Panthères & Colibri

The Cartier Panthères et Colibri features a clever on-demand power reserve indicator. When the crown is pressed, the panther's cub leaps towards the hummingbird, and hummingbird flies towards the top of dial. The hummingbird's position indicates the power remaining in the timepiece's 72-hour power reserve.

The 9915 MC movement comprises of 367 component parts, runs at 4Hz, and has an approximate power reserve of at least three full days (72-hours). The 42.75mm-wide white gold case is set with 314 brilliant cut diamonds. Price for the Cartier Panthères et Colibri is $179,000 or $381,000 with diamonds.
