Hands-on with the Omega Seamaster 300 SPECTRE LE Fri, 30 October 2015 01:49 Go to previous message

With the US film premiere for SPECTRE quickly approaching next week, thought I'd share some more hands-on photos and details of the Seamaster 300 SPECTRE LE.

Substantively, the Seamaster 300 SPECTRE is similar to the Seamaster 300 M Co-Axial with a 41mm stainless steel case, sandblasted ceramic dial, bi-directional ceramic bezel with LiquidMetal, Master Co-Axial calibre 8400 movement, resistance to magnetic fields over 15,000 gauss and a sapphire crystal display back that maintains a water resistance of 300 metres (30 bar).

However, there are several nuances that make the timepiece unique. Specifically, the Seamaster 300 SPECTRE bi-directional ceramic bezel has a 12-hour scale in Liquidmetal, the dial logo is larger, it features a lollipop seconds hand, the bracelet has brushed center links and the caseback is an individually numbered edition of 7,007 pieces. In addition, the Seamaster 300 SPECTRE is delivered with a Bond NATO strap in black and grey with a discreet "007" logo engraving on a holder. The presentation case also includes a 007 loupe, changing tool and bracelet spring bars (straight). Since both the bracelet and NATO strap have the special "007" engraving, they're both exclusive to the Seamaster 300 SPECTRE and cannot be purchased separately.

Finally, there's a pricing difference for all this exclusivity. While the Seamaster 300 M Co-Axial is $6,600, the Seamaster 300 SPECTRE LE is $7,500.

I love to talk about nothing. It's the only thing I know anything about. Wilde
