Received an email last Thursday from the NY Lange boutique that one of these anniversary 1815's had just come in that day. Did I want it? Long story short, my new limited edition 1815 arrived Saturday. It's beautiful. First Lange I have owned. Everything about it is great. Two things surprise me most: How smooth the winding mechanism feels; and how the glass looks so transparent. Not sure if that's because of the black dial, the shape of the glass, or something else. I have a couple other nice watches (Rolex Milgauss, Jaeger RdM, Jaeger Master Compressor Ceramic) and none of them have such a transparent glass look to them. Anyhow, couldn't be happier with it. Also, very glad they made it 40mm. I think anything smaller would have been too small for my wrist/taste.
