The hand turns clockwise until it reaches the thick end of the comet (wedge) then the whole turns clockwise, I would think the this watch is near the bottom end of it's power reserve. I think the reason that Patek have not used this type of power reserve again is how much time is spent explaining it to people. A simple power reserve does the job so why make it more complected.
