New X-33 Skywalker on the ISS Tue, 30 September 2014 10:42 Go to previous message

Recently ran across this NASA photo of ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst wearing the new X-33 Skywalker. He flew up on May 28th as part of Expedition 40 and has recently been joined by a new crew forming Expedition 41.

My guess is this is the first time in space for this new model. YaY!

On a side note, Expedition 41 cosmonaut Elena Serova is seen here before launch sporting a Moonwatch on the outside and a Gen 2 X-33 on the inside.

Looks like those hefty Moonwatch end links we've talked about before have become standard issue. As collectors we've just gotta get our hands on these endlinks, huh???
