Finally, my first Hublot Big Bang...Yeah!!! Mon, 04 August 2014 10:51 Go to previous message

Dear all,

Read about and saw many Hublots that caught my attention, mainly the big bang models. Was deciding for months and eventually made up my mind as a decision wasn't very much easy on such brilliant pieces. And there was it, the BIG Bang Black Magic in matte and the BIG Bang Steel Ceramic.

No, I did not get both although I very much wanted to. Had to pace myself!

Therefore finally, and I meant finally, after even thinking of what sort of straps I could interchange the original pieces in for both models even before I got any of them, I got the nonetheless, the iconic model; Hublots' Big Bang Ceramic in Steel Ceramic!

Had this piece for about a week and I cannot keep my eyes off it, even on the road! Perfect combination of materials and colour contrasts for this Iconic one.......wearing it in good health and for many many years to come:-)

On another note, I realised that my model (301.SB.131.RX) had only the word "HUBLOT" engraved on the rear rotor. Some of a few models, in fact, most I've seen would come in "HUBLOT GENEVE" engraved on the oscillating rotor. This was also for the watch box too. There was no "GENEVE" imprinted on the box. It was just "HUBLOT."
Was this because of the origins of Hublot, on that it started off in Nyon and not Geneve?
Would assume the older models to have "HUBLOT GENEVE" imprinted on the rotors and/or boxes.
