Traded my GMT (BLNR) for new Sea-Dweller 4000. Thu, 10 July 2014 13:06 Go to previous message

My name is Marc and I am a watchaholic. I had a beautiful GMT (BLNR) and I am even a pilot, but there were several things about this watch that troubled me a little. One was the GMT function itself, which I really did not find that useful. Because I didn't really enjoy the GMT function, it made the bezel substantially less useful, such as for timing short events. Please don't get me wrong, I still think that this is a beautiful watch.
I became enamored with the new Sea-Dweller, and decided to trade my BLNR. I just received the Sea-Dweller today! I absolutely love it. Here is my short list of what I really love:

1. no cyclops date.
2. matte dial finish.
3. the bulk, but it is not too bulky, even for my 6.25 inch wrist.
4. The adjustable band; this is really fantastic.
5. The bezel motion is sublime, and now I have a truly useful (at least for me) bezel.
6. I prefer the non-polished middle part of the links.

I know we all justify what we do for our passion of watch collecting, but I will really sleep well tonite with this change.

So, gone is the BLNR.....

And here is the new Sea-Dweller....(sorry for poor quality iPhone picture)

Marc
