PP movements only wind one way unlike a Rolex which winds both ways. The PP winds when you look at the watch, that is you turn your hand clockwise for a right handed person, Golf causes a sudden strong movement the other way which causes the rotor to hit a brake, You can see this yourself by looking at the back of a PP movement and seeing the rotor only wants to turn one way freely as it winds the watch. Golf will wear out the rotor on a PP and any other uniwind winding watch.
