Re: Vintage Ladies Patek repair question

I would still think it warrants Patek looking at it so you will know what is required and the cost.
The example I gave had to have been the highest estimate, at least David Jarrod said he had never seen one that high. I asked him to verify the estimate thinking, no ... hoping the 1 in front of the 6 was an error. Of course, it wasn't and the estimate stood at $16,000.00. That cost, for a minute repeater or something similar may be quite reasonable given the value of the watch, but for a simple watch, my decision was very easy given I didn't win the lottery either.
I have had other estimates for vintage pieces to be, what I thought, quite reasonable.
The point is you need to know what it will take to get the watch back to standards. Then the decision to proceed or not rests with you.
