Visit of SAHH (Salon d'Amsterdam de la Haute Horlogerie) Sun, 17 March 2013 07:09 Go to previous message

Yesterday A friend and I visited the Salon d'Amsterdam de la Haute Horlogerie and obviously we focussed mainly on IWC. The other brands present were JLC, Roger Dubuis, Vacheron Constantin, Baume et Mercier and Richard Mille.

It was quite busy, especially at the IWC part so we looked a bit at the 'competition' before we finally found somebody who could show us the IWC pieces.

On our way to the event, we already discussed a bit about what our favorite was and we both felt it would be the Ingenieur Dual Time Titanium. So that was the first one we had to try out. Due to the Titanium, the weight is very nice. Not too heavy and not too light either. The lugs face a bit more down, making it wrap a bit better around the wrist. Here are the pictures we took of this beauty:

The next watch we had a closer look at was the Ingenieur Automatic AMG Black Series Ceramic. It's a nice watch and certainly very black. The bezel is polished and the side of the case is matte black. Weight and comfort on the wrist are good.

The next watch we tried was the Ingenieur Chronograph Racer. It's a very good looking watch, unfortunately the ardoise was very hard to capture in the pictures. The white dial and blue hands version looks really great too!

The biggest surprise of the day was the Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month. From what we had seen before, we both thought it would be one of the least beautiful but we were completely wrong! The watch is extremely light for it's size and very hight too. The height however wasn't a problem at all and the watch sits extremely well on the wrist. The dial is very busy but not too busy and the overall appearance is magnificent. The only downside is the price :-) Next time, I also have to make sure to get more pictures and if possible in better light!

I also took a few pictures from the watches in the cases without getting them out for wrist shots.

Ingenieur Automatic white dial and silver hands:

Ingenieur Double Chronograph Titanium:

Ingenieur Chronograph Silberpfeil, very hard to capture too:

Besides the Ingenieur line, there were also several Pilot's and Portugueses on display. We couldn't resist to take a closer look at the Portuguese Tourbillon Mystère Rétrograde:

Kind regards,

Cinq
