Guys, this is really one hell of a watch.
Haven`t worn it for 3 weeks but the moment I strapped it on last night ..... well .... it just made me smile.
I removed my glasses and studied the watch closely.
Absolute quality and craftsmanship, from the revised Oyster bracelet and clasp through to the beautiful dial, hour markers and hands are so obvious compared to the other watches I own.
I`m looking for a superlative here but creamy, silky, smooth, strong are words that come immediately to mind when describing this piece.
It has weight and strength and it is just so nice to handle.
Resetting this watch is so easy , obviously a trademark of the revised 3187 with virtually no play in the hands.
The revised solid oyster bracelet and easi-link clasp are superbly executed.
I`m so glad they 'smoothed' the contour of the case as it meets the bracelet. It just looks so much nicer than the 'squarer' look case of the latest Sub and GMT. I know that most of us have 'banged' on about this for years but in my opinion, it still looks a little too boxy for my tastes. Call me old fashioned !

If there was a fault I could pick, I`d would say that perhaps the hands and hour markers are just slightly to thick for my tastes.
I would have preferred them to be the size of the GMT or Sub Ceramic for example. But , that`s purely my personal observation.

Never the less, I am over the moon with this piece and I must give Rolex absolute credit for producing a watch that combines a little history from the 70`s and fantastic technology in the production of it`s latest calibres.
I think that any watch enthusiast could enjoy this watch for life.
Well done Rolex .
Cheers
Neil.
