A friend of mine is seriously interested in the new 1815 up/down, and it got me thinking: why are certain 1815 models not available in platinum?

With the original 1815 line (from the 1990s and early 200s), the up/down was available in PT. The reissued and enlarged 1815 up/down is not. Also, the new 1815 chrono is WG, not available in PT. Why not issue these models also in PT? I am sure there is customer demand for them in PT.
