Two contrasting JLCs

Hello everyone,
This is my first post on the JLC forum, and I'm very happy to be contributing after spending a long time on the sidelines. Thanks to everyone for your posts, and to Howard for his moderation - I've learnt a huge amount from all of you.
I've recently added a second JLC to my small collection. The new addition is the Reverso TT 1931 my first non-round watch, first manual wind, and first watch without any complications at all. I hesitated before pulling the trigger on this one because I was worried that a design that is seemingly so simple might prove to be a little boring, especially given the lack of a second hand. I couldn't have been more wrong. The level on detail on both the watch face and the case, the contrast between the dagger-like thrusts of the hour markers and the way the hands seem to hang serenely in the centre of the dial, and the overall understated classiness of the watch are continually fascinating, and I find myself staring at it as much as at my other, more complicated watches.
My other JLC is the Master Hometime, the older version with the non-symmetrical dial. It couldn't be more different to the Reverso in terms of the shape, obviously, but also the amount going on with the dial and a much more substantial feeling on the wrist. It's got sentimental value, as the first really nice watch I ever bought, while the GMT function is very useful as I live and work on the other side of the world from where I grew up. I know that some people prefer a more 'balanced' layout including I guess the manufacturer, as they replaced it with a model that has a symmetrical dial but I personally find this version much more interesting. The GMT function, and the slow rotation of the day/night indicator, mean the dial looks very different over the course of the day. I've owned it for five and a half years and it's run like a dream for the whole period, although it's probably time to think about getting it serviced to make sure that continues.
Some pictures of both watches below. Apologies for the picture quality one thing I've learnt since starting to post on Timezone is how hard it is to take good pictures of watches!
