My new Daytona...

Hi guys,I hope you all have good weekend!
So yesterday morning,I looked out the window and I decided that is the perfect time to do a little window-shopping in Manhattan,and to try on some nice watches
(no purchase intended!)
After walking around on Fifth Ave. and visiting the usual places where the sins are happening,I ended up at Wempe,with the idea to change the strap on my Datograph.
While waiting,I started my investigation on waiting lists for a Daytona since it was on the list for these year.
As usual,the salesman right away answered that the waiting time is 4-6 months.He also asked if I'm seriously interested on purchasing the watch.
I answered yes,and with these he told me that hell check on my Dato.
In a couple of minutes he returned saying "Today might be your lucky day" since they happened to have one "just in"for another client.
After asking me witch dial option I'm looking for,he brought out a brand spanking new Daytona,telling me that,if I buy it now,it can be mine! Ha-Ha!
So after a couple of minutes,since "it was my lucky day" I gave in,and today I'm the lucky owner of a legend.
In reality,I believe that like others said the myth of buying a Daytona is coming to an end(witch is a good thing),but what I don't understand why the ADs still
try to hide them in the safes.
Any way,the service at Wempe was outstanding as always!(we pupped champagne and everything).
The watch is awesome,the new clasp is super,so for these year,I'M DONE!
More impressions later until then a couple of quick shots with my phone.
