Geneva Time Exhibition 2013 - RGM Sun, 03 March 2013 03:46 Go to previous message

It is always nice to see Roland at the GTE. Last year they had brought the Caliber 20 movement, and they have returned this year with the watch cased. It looks superb, so out came the camera and the tent.

RGM Caliber 20
Functions: Hour / Minute , Seconds on disc, Moonphase

Caliber20: American Made, Manual wind, 22 jewels, 18,000 vph. Main plate and Bridges Made of German Silver, *Jeweled Motor Barrel, Circular Cote de Geneve, perlage & Anglage. Hands blued steel keystone hour and minutes. Case made in America, steel 42,5 x 38,5 9,7mm thick and sapphire crystal on front and back.

* The "Motor Barrel" is a American invention and was used only on the highest grade models. The benefit of the design is that it reduces friction and wear in the mainspring barrel bearing surfaces, thus transmitting power more efficiently. RGM website
