Is it sacrilege? GMT insert

One of the wonderful things about vintage Rolex watches is that they can be worn with variations. While I am constantly changing the straps, NATO's, and bracelets I was hesitant about changing the bezel insert to something that is not genuine to the watch. Unfortunately, I like the look. Your thoughts?
