Front and Back: Manual Chronographs Thu, 14 February 2013 16:59 Go to previous message

Just for fun, below are pictures of two black dial, manually wound chronographs. The very different approaches, both in dial layout and movement configuration, make for an interesting contrast. The pictures are mediocre at best (and seem to accentuate a finger on the cell phone camera), but you get the idea . . .

On the dial side, the Lange is very stark; a very "engineered" and practical look to it. The FPJ is more whimsical.

On the flip side, the Lange is (like most Langes) a tour de force. The FPJ, which doesn't come across well in the picture, accentuates the fine finishing of its gold movement.
