A return to Vintage - 1968 GMT 1675 Thu, 31 January 2013 15:30 Go to previous message

It has been a while since I have posted here. I once had a very healthy vintage Rolex collection. All of which had to be parted with due to life circumstances. After a brief absence I have just purchased a GMT from my birth year. This watch represents a return for me in several ways but it also lets me appreciate the beauty of these vintage watched that much more. While I doubt I will ever rebuild my old collection I really do appreciate being able to look down again at a vintage Rolex. It is interesting how comforting it can be. Like an old friend.

My real reason for this post is to thank everyone on this site who has posted in the past. Your collections and new finds allowed me to continue to enjoy these watches even when I couldn't justify owning one myself. Thank you and good luck in all of your collecting.

Regards, -J
