Master Control Automatic

Hi guys, I know this is probably an old topic but I am fairly new to this forum. I am looking at purchasing the MC Auto in steel because it is such a simple and elegant watch. However, the dealer's picture shows a ref of 176.8.40 whereas I see in some postings that the ref is actually 154.84.20. Which is correct? Also, some say it is 40mm but others say 39mm. Which is correct? Lastly, I would like some comments and wrist shots of this watch. Some background history would also be great too, since I don't know much about this model. Thanks in advance.
