Really enjoying this watch from 1997. Wed, 09 January 2013 04:28 Go to previous message

Sorry for the large photo, but I really wanted to show off the details close-up. I recently swapped the bracelet of my DeVille Prestige Chronograph with a nice brown Di-Modell Bali leather band. I had it on the bracelet for the last year as I felt I needed at least one one watch with a bracelet, however, the DeVille Prestige bracelets are a bit "blingy" with all that polished stainless steel. I feel that the bracelet distracts from the actual watch. However, with the brown band, the face really pops. The silver face takes on many different shades, with the applied 18k white gold indexes and hands adding a very elegant touch to the watch. Yes, it is only 36.1mm in diameter, but the bezel is narrow, so the watch wears larger than 36mm. The watch houses the 861 (Speedmaster) movement. When I first received the watch, I was surprised by the effort required to activate the pushers. Though a dress watch, it has a very industrial feel to it. The winding is firm but not overly stiff. I don't know how to say this, but it wears like a more expensive watch.

19 days and my next Omega will be here.... Patience....
