Amvox 1 and reverso strap exchange Mon, 07 January 2013 17:46 Go to previous message

Hi everyone and happy new year! For those who have followed my adventure, the Amvox has not left my wrist much over the holidays and has proven a perfect companion for the more formal family gatherings while being perfect as a cottage watch (basically worn with jeans and sometimes just ski underwear :-) )

As promised in my Amvox 1 review, I did play around with the strap over the holidays. More specifically, I swapped the original Amvox strap with my 976 croc deployant. Since the lugs are both 22mm, it fits very nicely. The big difference is that the 976 strap has a straight end made to fit snuggly on the Reverso case. The Amvox strap is rounded and hugs the round case. I have to say it looks pretty good (as excpected). It does bring out the more formal side of the Amvox. You can see in the next picture the difference between both straps as the it was taken in the middle of the strap changing process.

There is one caveat: since the 976 strap is made for the reverso case, it has a much thicker end and is shaped more squarely. I tried to capture it in the next picture.

You do not always see it but that is enough for me to not swap straps between the two. So the Amvox will have get its own croc strap but the experiment has confirmed that it looks very good on black croc with black stiching.

And the quest continues...

Cheers,
