I decided a while ago that my next purchase would be an IWC, and I really liked the Portuguese 5001-14. So a few weeks ago, I finally decided to see if one was in the Showcase. I typed in "IWC" and one of the first hits was...something I had never seen before. What was this elegant watch with a black dial and beautiful moon phase complication?? I was instantly mesmerized and my world was suddenly turned upside down! But I had to have it. Sorry, Portuguese, but you will have to wait a while longer. My heart was captured by the VC Portofino. It arrived yesterday, and I had promised myself that I would not wear it until after Christmas, but I had to take a peek...
