Hi All,
One of my favorite modern watches in Vacheron's product range is the Les Historiques Toledo 1952. Its styling, including the case, dial, and set of complications, is based on a cushion-shaped triple date moonphase Vacheron produced during the 1950s. The original is reference 4764, and is one of the most desirable of all vintage Vacheron wristwatches. The square case shape is referred to as the "carré galbé", but it's also known as the Italian word "cioccolatone" due to the shape's resemblance to a piece of boxed chocolate. The original used a 17-jewel manual-winding movement (JLC ebauche), whereas this modern version, ref. 1225, uses a 36-jewel automatic movement, cal. 1125, again using a JLC ebauche - true to Vacheron's tradition.
A curved crystal makes it a bit difficult to photograph...

A gold moonphase disc and deep blued steel date indicator hand...
Slender, rounded white gold baton hands, applied white gold markers, and day/month apertures with blue-colored print...
