Saint Exupéry Chronograph

The Saint Exupéry is a limited watch edition by IWC that started in 2006. Each model is produced one year, about all pilot's models got a Saint Exupéry version throughout the years. It started with the Chrono, in 2006, the only production year. 1630 were produced in steel (the 371709), 250 in rose gold (the 371711), 50 in white gold and 1 in platinum, this platinum sold at an auction for good causes. In total 1931, the year the book "Night flight" by Saint Exupéry appeared.
You seeing this watch at an AD is surprising, it being on the market since 2006, and only produced that year. It was much sought after, so I would ask some questions at the AD. The price in the catalogue of 2006 I have mentions CHF 5'400 for the steel version.
In 2006 I opted for the rose gold version, it was quite a tussle to get one. Here my fairly recent picture taken on a Friday 13.
