Went to a Panerai event last night...It turned out differently than expected. Fri, 14 December 2012 12:59 Go to previous message

It was held at a watch shop at our local mall. With a PAM strapped to my wrist, a friend and I started the evening with a nice dinner at a nearby restaurant. We then made our way to the Panerai event, with wine and appetizers. I had a great time (and had the chance to meet Michael Sandler too! He had a beautiful PP). When we left the event, I walked across the mall and entered the Omega Boutique. It was probably a combination of a great evening and the wine, but a little something followed me home:

The PO 8500 (45.5 mm):

It makes a nice companion to my PO 2500 (45.5 mm):

I absolutely love the Seamaster line and always have. And the 8500 movement with a twin-barrel 60 hour power reserve and silicon balance spring is fantastic. As a bonus, this watch had just arrived from Switzerland. They literally took it out of the shipping container right in front of me. Brand new.

I also tried on the white dial Aqua Terra Annual Calendar with leather strap. It's on my list! :-)
