New old stock Pulsar (by Seiko) Tue, 11 December 2012 21:12 Go to previous message

Just took delivery of this one...Been looking for it for several months.

It was advertised as a perpetual calendar watch, but its other claim is that it features a "true" GMT
function where the twelve hour hand moves independent of the minute hand. Very convenient for changing time zones.

Seiko made several models using the 8F56 high accuracy quartz movement. It is said to be capable of twenty seconds a year accuracy.

This, I believe, is the only Pulsar branded watch they made with this movement...Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Not an expensive watch, but it does what it does very well.
