HUBLOT: An exceptional ride in Formula 1â„¢
And a High Flying Future with Ferrari
The unique three year collaboration with Formula 1â„¢ has been a historical sensation! Three years of close partnership lead to much success for Hublot on the commercial level with the launch of many limited editions sold out worldwide! The image and reputation of the Formula 1â„¢ Grand Prix led Hublot to create innovative visibility on the circuit with the famous Pit Lane clock. Together, the relationship led to many other creative activations and a strong, personal relationship with President Bernie Ecclestone. Who can forget the advertising campaign jointly carried out in 2010? The jaw-dropping photo of Ecclestone took over the global media.
Today, after a successful first year of global collaboration with Ferrari (see the contract announcement November 2011) Hublot is refocusing, recalibrating, and energizing its racing activities around the famous car manufacturer and its infamous Scuderia team.
Hublot is pleased to have been the first luxury watch brand to invest in Formula 1â„¢, just as it was a pioneer in football in 2008. We have paved the way as in many other fields and will continue to be faithful to our message: "Be the first, be unique, be different."
Jean-Claude Biver, Hublot Chairman, says: "Our contract with the Formula 1â„¢ was scheduled to conclude at the end of the year. We had an option to extend it by also becoming official timekeeper. But in the meantime, in the last year, we also signed a partnership with Ferrari.
Over the past 12 months, our alliance with Ferrari has been extremely fruitful. Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot and I had the opportunity to meet with Scuderia Ferrari Team Principle, Stefano Domenicali at several Grand Prix last year. It was clear the logical move was to expand our partnership with the brand to its F1â„¢ team; it is more fascinating for us to be closely related to the mythical Ferrari team embodied by the two red cars on tracks around the world.
We draw an exceptional balance from our collaboration with the Formula 1â„¢ and are very proud to have paved the way for such a storied, luxury brand to follow suit.
