Are all ChronoFlex movements perpetual calendar?
Sat, 01 December 2012 19:33
HI-
I have had two 18k Francaise Chronoflex watches in the past and both were obviously perpetual calendars (though quartz, of course) and even had one steel Yearling the same way.
When you rapid advance the hands with the crown, it did not change the date, only the hour.
I have recently picked up an 18k TF Chronoflex again and I was miffed when it went on to "November 31st" yesterday instead of from the 30th to the 1st. I figured the calendar was mis-set and tried to re-set it by "finding" where the watch was on the calendar by letting the hands runs and the date advance. However, three straight cycles it came up with 31 day months. There are two periods in our calendar where we have back to back 31 day months, but no period of three times in a row.
Thus...I presume its "just" a standard quartz calendar requiring manual resetting after the 30 day months (hey...nobody complains about doing it on a Rolex!).
But...are some models perpetual and others not????? Until this very day, I thought they were ALL perpetual, Santos too.
Help?
