My new Harwood via George Daniels

Hello all. Just received my treasure from the recent George Daniels auction. If you followed it, or previewed the catalog, you'll know that there was a variety of objects, not all watches, that encompassed all that was George Daniels. I set my sights on a couple of items, not having an unlimited budget and not having ever bid online for anything. The auction house was packed and the bidding frantic, with many items surpassing the expected maximum bid within seconds. My first desire, a marine chronometer, quickly sped past my maximum bid range and into the ether. My hopes were hanging on lot 29, a 1929 Harwood with bezel set in 9K gold. As it was not an actual Daniels watch or something he had modified the bidding proceeded at a more moderate pace. I was actually travelling, in my car, without access to the auction. My wife was online, and on the phone texting me, with the results. She wasn't even sure we had won the bidding, but soon an email arrived confirming the result. It was a bit tedious getting the watch back to the states with paperwork and all, but it's here. I've placed it next to my even earlier all original Harwood with articulating lugs in .925 sterling. Makes a nice pair I'd say.
