Speaking of Pelagos :)

Well, I walked into the downtown Rolex dealer who is also a Tudor dealer to check out the new Black Bay, among some others. It's a real beauty in person and I was almost going to buy it, and will likely go back for one someday.
But, then my salesman pulled out the Pelagos from the vault. It had just arrived there. I immediately liked it. And I'm not lying if I tell you I checked out about a dozen different watches from various brands that day. This one stood out. It was a no-brainer. I had to have it.
AND.....it's on my wrist now!
Great lugs with lovely chamfers. Pointed crown guards. Matte dial with snowflake hands. LOTS of white lume, that glows blue like Rolex chromalight. The bezel is matte ceramic with lumed markers and numbers. Great 500M water resistance and an integrated HEV. A nifty adjustable and expandable clasp. An extra and very nice rubber strap that fits the end links also comes with the watch.
This is the first titanium watch I've owned. It's light, but not as light as other Ti's I've tried. It weighs 146 grams with one link out. That's around the weight of the old SS Rolex SD, but far better distributed. I think Tudor calls it "satin finished titanium". It's lovely, whatever it is.
Here are the pics...
and a quick wrist shot...42mm case, 7.5 to 7.75"wrist approximately....
and a short vid on how the clasp works...
I love everything about this watch. As for the motor, it has an easily serviceable, tough as nails and around since the 70's, ETA movement and that's just fine with me. The case work and the finish is remarkable. As someone said on another forum "The Tool Watch is Back!"
