New shoes for my Sinn 856s UTC... Cordovan shoes Thu, 22 November 2012 18:27 Go to previous message

I don't post in this forum much often. But I want to share my new look Sinn, as I am liking it quite a lot.

Its a funny story actually. We have recently gone through an international relocation. At the time of packing my Sinn was on a nato.

The original bracelet was in a padded envelop which, I assumed was coming in our air shipment.

However, when the shipment arrived, I cannot find the envelop with the bracelet and I can only assume it is in sea shipment. Bottom line, I have been wearing the watch with the nato for a few weeks. Eventually I gave in. I always wanted a cordovan strap and I guess I found the excuse ;-) So I ordered it a few day back and it arrived today.

I think it looks very nice, matching well with the faded case surface around the bezel (which has been a surprise for me, as the watch has faded quite a bit in little over a year. I expected the black coating on Sinn to be more resilient).

Anyways, I am really liking the look, and feel the watch and strap will age together very well.
